Paul Hasley, Reducing Cambridge University's energy usage

Paul is Cambridge University’s Energy Manager, helping the university meet its target of reducing its energy use by 34% within 10 years.  He will share what the University is doing, particularly focussing on what happens within the buildings.  Surprisingly, although some of the historic buildings are hard to heat, energy use is much higher in some of the modern buildings because of the IT and labs. He will discuss how the university is tackling this, and share some of the challenges he faces.

This should be a fascinating evening for anyone trying to reduce energy use within an organisation, or who is simply interested in what’s happening behind the scenes in Cambridge University

As usual in Green-enterprise events, the evening will be participative and will include plenty of time for discussion with the speaker and other participants
